NM steels are high-strength materials with increased wear resistance. Steels produced in China, which are comparable in characteristics to Swedish Hardox steel . They have increased hardness and strength, making them ideal for use in high-wear and abrasive conditions such as mining, construction and agricultural industries.

Application of special steels NM 450

1. Agricultural, construction and road machinery such as crushers, screeners, loading devices, measuring bins, skip hoists, cutting edges, conveyors, buckets, knives, gears, chain wheels.
2. Construction of roads, bridges, underground tunnels and railways, as well as the production of wagons.
3. Trucks, metalworking machines, bulldozers, excavators, electric cars, dump trucks, loaders and equipment for them.
4. Pulp pipeline systems.
5. Screw conveyors, presses and other equipment.

NM steel sheets are available in different grades such as NM360, NM400 , NM450, NM500 and so on. The steel contains manganese, which gives it high strength, wear resistance and resistance to impact loads. Additional alloying elements improve its performance characteristics.

NM450 steel  was originally developed for truck body equipment. This steel has increased hardness (and therefore resistance to abrasion) while maintaining high viscosity and excellent weldability. Today, NM 450 is increasingly used for other purposes. The hardness of a product made of  NM 450 steel is usually from 410 to 490HB.
